Transition-Service
TRANSITION addresses mainly European SMEs of the manufacturing and traditional sectors with a specific focus on the Textile Clothing industry. The TRANSITION project has for objective to create a "Secure Partnership Building Environment" aiming to win European SMEs trust and develop the use of public data.
One of the main innovations of the TRANSITION project is to capture data and create information on enterprise profiles in view of their "labelling" in a co-operative working environment. It will consist of the development of two services acting as decision aid tools enabling the creation of a networked community of enterprises as well as a working environment dedicated to the authentication and follow up of the products.
Functionalities
The TRANSITION project will address the following objectives, structured by 5 main functionalities.

SME-Confidence-Service
seeks to provide SMEs with a competitive advantage through innovative solutions making use of a great amount of information enabling a more secure creation of partnerships and leading them to augmented power and credibility to compete with major companies. To address such an issue, the TRANSITION project is founded on a "public-private" co-operation together with the mobilisation of a critical mass of all major players.
Info-Tracing-Service
The Info-Tracing-Service is dedicated to the network of certified companies. It aims to authenticate the products (fight against counterfeiting) and to trace all the steps of the product development cycle from the creation to the delivery (product conformity, tests and certification). Traceability is of strategic importance for European Manufacturing industry in terms of both protection of intellectual property rights and security.
